Atarraya Cartonera is a publishing project alternative, from Puerto Rico, adds to a long American tradition of editorial cartoneras facing trusses current publishing market interests and neoliberal logic that controls the mechanisms of production, distribution and sale of cultural goods. Beyond producing quality books at low cost and circulate them by way alternatives, cartoneras used as raw material of capitalist consumer waste. Atarraya The live workshop Cartonera about and engages the public in the processes of artisan production of books, while they spread, from the Museum of Contemporary Art of Puerto Rico (MAC), both editorial and political logic cartonero movement in Latin America, such as those proposed individual poetry published in each of the three collections of the publisher.
